About Charlie
WAM award nominated and WAAPA trained songwriter Charlie Youngson is an emerging artist hailing from Bridgetown, WA, whose blend of blues and folk, weaved together with intricate guitar work, has been captivating audiences across Australia. At the age of 20, Charlie’s style is reminiscent of early John Butler, and has led him to open for major touring acts including Steph Strings, Felipe Baldomir, Ash Grunwald, Kim Churchill and Vika and Lynda Bull.
He’s played in play in some of WA’s most prestigious venues including Red Hill Auditorium, the Quarry Amphitheatre, the Riverside Theatre and toured Australia. He’s played Nannup Music Festival and the Blues at Bridgetown multiple times, as well as received the Fairbridge Song-quest prize.
Now living in Fremantle, Charlie runs his own recording studio, helping to bring local artists’ visions to life. Beyond his original performances, Charlie is an accomplished corporate musician, specialising in weddings and private functions. All of these services can be booked below.

Seaview Studio
Nestled in South Fremantle, Seaview Studio is a tracking and production space, designed around fostering creativity. A selection of high quality instruments and gear, and the ability to track a full band allows the space to be the ultimate studio for up and coming folk, pop and blues artists. The space can be dry hired or sessions can be run with Charlie as the producer/engineer.
